About the Teacher

Hi, I’m Seul(슬) πŸ˜‰ I’m glad you’re interested in learning Korean and found your way here.

I became interested in teaching Korean during high school through a language exchange experience. While trying to teach Korean, I realized how little I know about mother language as a foreign language β€” which led me to study Korean language education.

I later started a BA and MA in Korean Studies with a focus on Korean language education, and became a certified Korean teacher in 2018.

To be honest, I always found language learning boring when it relied only on memorization and textbooks.

So from early on, I knew I wanted to teach differently.

I believe learning works best when it’s engaging and connected to what learners actually care about.

That’s why I build my classes around things people enjoy and relate to β€” real conversations, media, everyday situations, and topics learners are genuinely interested in.

How I Teach πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ«

I focus on Korean that learners can actually use in real situations, even if it’s not perfect yet. πŸ’¬

Speaking comes first, accuracy follows πŸ¦†

πŸ—£οΈ Practical before perfect

Learning a language is uncomfortable by nature. πŸ₯²

I create an environment where students feel supported enough to try, fail, and improve without pressure or embarrassment! 🦺

πŸ›Ÿ A safe space to speak and make mistakes

πŸŽ₯ Grammar and Vocabulary always in context

I I explain Korean through real situations, using K-dramas, Youtube, and everyday examples to show how expressions are naturally used. πŸ“Ί
